Competition Winner!
Thankyou for all of the entries. I have a lovely name now - "A Thistled Heart", suggested by Lia de Thronegge.
I have a bit of a thing about Thistles (as well as roses) - I collect images of them as well.
Thankyou Lia! Please contact me at a_velvet_clawATyahooDOTcomDOToz, where 'oz' is replaced with "au" with your address. Also, could you please leave a comment here, and also on Facebook Historic Embroidery on how you find the Merino wool to work with? I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do :-)

Hurray! I just saw the inspiration photo and the name came to me. And I know thistles an roses were common motives at the time.
Thank you, very much, and when I use the wool on a project I will let you know how it was to work with :)
shucks!! I saw the contest a few days ago but forgot to come back with my entries. I loved the name of the winner though so it all turned out for the best!
Thanks for forwarding those lovely compliments. You sure know how to make a girl feel good.
Good luck with your procedure...you have a great attitude and that makes a HUGE difference. xo Susan
